Dubai, UAE – 10 October 2025 – One Za’abeel, Dubai’s iconic landmark destination by Ithra Dubai, unveils the next chapter in its acclaimed ‘Curated at One’ series with the exclusive showcase of artworks by Swiss contemporary artist Vlad Pocol. Running from 10 – 31 October 2025, this exclusive showcase is free and open to the public, inviting visitors to explore Vlad Pocol’s layered paintings at The Plaza, One Za’abeel, in a setting where art meets architecture.
This marks Vlad Pocol’s first presentation in the UAE, following successful solo shows and international recognition across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Known for his rich and sculptural works which explore themes of identity, intuition, and transformation, Vlad Pocol says: “Showing my work in Dubai is an exciting and fitting step in my journey through identity and migration. The city’s embrace of both its deep roots and the cross-cultural narratives of its residents, resonates with me. One Za’abeel, at the intersection of old and new Dubai, is a perfect setting for the showcase, mirroring the narrative of heritage and future woven together in my pieces.”
This showcase marks the fourth edition of Curated at One, the destination’s year-round programme dedicated to transforming The Plaza, One Za’abeel into a vibrant cultural stage. Each edition further reflects One Za’abeel’s commitment to sophisticated cultural, lifestyle experiences that centre art, culture, and fashion in a stunning environment.

Debut Showcase in UAE: ‘From Roots to Vision. A Migration: A Selection’ debuts in Dubai at One Za’abeel. Four major works will be on display, accompanied by a never-before-seen exclusive piece, unveiled to the public.
Artistic Exploration: Vlad Pocol’s pieces probe the subconscious, where memory and experience shape identity and inspire personal reflection.
Exclusive Insights: Guided tours are available to offer deeper insights into Pocol’s intricate works. Public tours will run each week on Thursday afternoons at 2pm.

Born in 1992 in Fribourg, Switzerland, Vlad Pocol is a contemporary artist working across painting, sculpture, and installation. His practice explores migration, identity, and emotional transformation, drawing on a family history of Romanian political exile and Levantine heritage.
Shaped by his years in Geneva, Paris, and Riyadh, Vlad Pocol develops a practice attentive to both geographical and emotional displacement. His works situate personal and collective memory as catalysts for self-betterment and transformation, probing the subconscious and the essential role of intuition in life’s unfolding processes. Movement is central to his approach: painting becomes a performative act, where gestures inscribe trajectories of becoming and transition.
